PERFECT FACE: MODEL'S OWN
ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY, New York, Intersect by Lexus event.
WHAT INSPIRED THIS LOOK?
I was inspired by the fabrics and textures of Rosie's dress, and wanted to mimic something similar to that with the eye. I did a soft smokey feline shaped eye, but added some elements of sparkle throughout the lid to play with what you see on her dress. The other eyeshadow tones were soft, with a slight warm purple hue to richen up and play off of the pink silk of the dress. Rosie and I both love a lot of lash, but in a more realistic and soft way, so I opted to use some individual lashes, mostly on the outer corners. The blush color was very similar to the color of the dress, and a soft matte finish which I prefer, as opposed to a shimmer. I like to keep the light reflecting products on the high points of the face, and sometimes blush with shimmer makes you look like you have pores you didn't even know that you had. We finished with a lip color close to her natural, but I wanted it to look fresh so added a hint of the classic MAC lipglass on top.
