Taking your Eye from DAY to NIGHT
Hello! I just wanted to follow up on my previous video from the NARS Holiday Unboxing. In that first video I showed how to create a really cool, simple daytime CATEYE using PURPLE instead of the traditional black, brown, or grey.
Now I want to show you how to quickly and easily take the daytime look and add a little more shadow and liner for night. Seriously SO easy, but the drama and sexiness is there! I love it. The best part is it only takes two products, so it's easy to pack into your purse if you are on the go.
I traditionally am not a huge smokey eye girl. I find myself making tutorial videos showing darker or more dramatic looks, and then washing them off as soon as I'm done. (LOL I know... not your typical beauty blogger). With this look, however, I loved it, and wore it out the rest of the day! Maybe I found the solution for me: it just needs to be color.
As you can see in the video, you can still make it pretty and not too heavy, but using the shadow really carves out a nice shape for the eye. I also LOVE this color of purple, which is funny for me to say. If you ask people close to me what my least favorite color is, I have said purple in the past. I don't know why, it's just not a color I'm naturally attracted to. I never choose it for anything! HOWEVER, used for makeup, and I'M INTO IT. It's now going to be one of my top picks. How funny! To me, there is just something cool, easy, unexpected, and eye-catching.
If you haven't worn color yourself lately, I highly recommend you give it a try. Trust me when I tell you if you wear this look out, you will turn heads and get a lot of compliments. Especially from strangers. Xx
